The name hissed between clenched teeth, or yelled from rooftops in anger. The name given only to the worst of the worst, who betray those closest. Your name.

I will never leave you. We'll be together forever. Till the end of time. This is what you told me. You lied to me. You hurt me, and tried to apologize. But do you really think that I would trust you after what you've done? No. It's over.

Because of you, I learned never to trust anyone. Never let my heart out of its cage, for fear it will be broken. I learned that I could never count on anyone but myself. But that's wrong, isn't it?

You taught me this, but you also taught how to be strong. How to bend without breaking. How to keep pushing, even when things seem hopeless. So you will not succeed.
